Manuelita’s sculptures have been described as authentically personal, demonstrating a range of expression including subtle political statement and intimacy with human aspirations in classical elegant forms.  She prefers the permanence of bronze for a medium.  Decades as wife, mother, and teacher (mathematics, not art) is revealed in work sensitive to all human experience. Many of her smaller pieces are models for possible larger commissioned works.
