ARTIST STATEMENT: My art explores the relationship between design, the body as a biological system, human behavior and the environment and how these play out with technology.
Textiles in my work are used as metaphors for the permeable nature of skin, a mediating layer between emotion and perception.
In various projects I explore clothing as shelter, as site for grieving, as a vehicle to immaterial, and as a communal vessel for the intimate and the poetic.
