Golden Heritage Living
Two Channel HD Video Installation
Born in America and raised by Chinese immigrants,
I live in a permanent in-between state.
My practice, which focuses on the spaces
between identities, examines suspension or displacement
through sculpture, film, and performance.
In my installation, The Impossibility of
Home, viewers drift through a grove of artificial,
painted banana trees, navigating between opposing
projections. Together, these components create
a sense of alienation in a non-place, questioning
where avenues join and diverge, pursuing
paths that are far from direct.
