Artist Statement

My work grapples with the nature of things in constant flux. Home is our first universe, our refuge, the central point around which life orbits, so as home changes, everything else is flung along with it. Inside becomes outside. Domestic spaces impersonate landscape. The porous membrane of the house acts like skin. My work weaves together threads from each of these spheres to create hybrid scenes that compound time, commemorate decay, and mythologize memory.
